From the cradle of coffee

Due to the huge success in distribution and appreciation of coffee by the arabian world and the jeremites, it was nearly impossible to undermine this monopol. Due to the decision of Baba Budan to hide seven coffee seeds in his belt, the authorities had no chance to find the hidden coffee and this resulted in the indian coffee industry.

The famous botanist Carl Linnaeus heard about coffee and started to write crazy facts about this beverage. As a careful person, he found out that the coffee plant is designated to a totally new group of plants, which had never been written before. He defined coffee as „the coffee plant, which came from prosperous Arabia“. In former times Ethiopia was called „prosperous Arabia“ or „Arabian Felix“.

As coffee became well-known in Europe, a strong desire for exploration and enjoyment has grown over the whole continent. As the arabian countries denied to ship coffee seeds to keep their monopol, Europe got dependent on the arabian traders. But this was not an obstacle for Pieter Van Den Broecke, he finally managed to secretly bring five live plants to the Netherlands.
